Ok, our birthday is coming up, and I was thinking about a competition to celebrate.

Basically, what I suggested to Tami was:

Members either choose to design a wallpaper or banner to celebrate KN\'s birthday. The content can be about KN or about an event or events which has happened in the last year. The contest is open to all except admins, and the admins will judge the winner. Each person can enter twice (1 banner and 1 wallpaper or 2 of either) and each entry will be judged individually.

Deadline could be Friday 13th Jan?
Prizes - This will be important, do you still have those FF books Tami? Hosting possible aswell. Could we have 2 winners - 1 banner and 1 wallpaper?

Hosting might draw more people to the competition... 1year free hosting + choice of your domain?.... maybe 6months?

Hello members and visitors, welcome to 2006!

As you may know, our 2nd birthday is coming up on January 10th and we thought we\'d celebrate the occasion by opening a competition to you all. The competition is simple - create a piece of artwork which either represents KillaGraphix or an event or events which has occurred in 2005.

The rules are simple:

• Open to all registered members including staff (except admins)
• Entries may either be banner size (400x80 pixels up to 500x 100 pixels) or wallpaper size (1024 x 768 pixels)
• Entries must be in gif, jpg or png formats.
• Entries must not contain any images which are against the forum\'s guidelines eg pornography, extreme violence, etc. You will be notified if your entry is unacceptable.
• Each member may submit 2 entries which will be judged separately. The entries may be in different formats, eg. a banner and a wallpaper.
• There will be 2 winners, 1 banner and 1 wallpaper.
• The winners will be picked by KillaGraphix\'s Admins. We are looking for images which are original in content and have had effort put into them - a 5 minute banner made in Paint is unlikely to score well. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... igwink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />
• The deadline for entries is Midnight Friday 13th January GMT with the winners being announced by Midnight Monday 16th.

As for the prizes - each winner will receive 1 years free shared web hosting from KillaHosting and a domain name of their choice (subject to availability). The domain name is only for use with the web hosting provided by KillaHosting. More information about the features available with the hosting can be found here (KH-1000 package). The winners must read and accept the KillaHosting Terms of Service before they can use the hosting.

About the only thing I can think of is that we should make it clear that this is not going to be a reseller account... the 1 domain goes with the hosting, and that\'s the extent to their domain limits.

Just a thought of course, but it shouldn\'t be something they could end up making a lot of money from with reselling.

Gonna wait and clear it by the witch first. I\'ll hopefully try and get this mentioned on pixel2life (if you notice, they have competition info down the right hand side). If we\'re successful....never know how many entries we\'ll get.
