particleIllusion SE $99
Our low-priced introductory version of particleIllusion, SE uses an older version (version 2) of our particle engine. It is a standalone application that includes over 950 emitters (and more are released for free every month). The Pro Emitters do NOT work with SE.

particleIllusion SE supports only a single layer of footage and emitters (although you can add as many emitters on this layer as you want). SE does not have the interface enhancements that make 3.0 easier to work with, although SE's interface is quite easy to learn and use. SE does not include blockers, forces, cannot create Super Emitters, and other enhancements in version 3.0 of our engine.

Over the past 3+ years, wondertouch has developed an extensive particle effects library using particleIllusion, our standalone particle effects application. Due to the similarities between the particle engines in particleIllusion and Motion, we've been able to convert a significant portion of our library to work with Motion's particle system!
