Best FPS of all time?

[color=\"#FF0000\"]I'm still attempting to liven up the place, so I've somewhat moved out of my Nintendo section to try and open up shop somewhere else in order to get this place a little more active! Look out! this area is going to hell now that I'm here. Anyways, I'm interested to see everyone's oppinoin on what they believe is the BEST FPS game of ALL TIME. I get to start! Weeee! Incase you couldn't guess it, my pick of best FPS is on a Nintendo system. It's the one, and only, Goldeneye 64! Despite how retarded the enemies were, it was a heck of a lot of fun, especially once you turned on DK and paint ball mode. It was also fun using Invisable Bond mode with All Weapons and Infinite Ammo to plant a bunch of remote mines behind someone and watch them go flying! So that's my pick, now someone liven this area up and add in their oppinoins![/color]

I have to agree with you, Mario...well...not maybe the best FPS of all time, but it was a really fun game to play. Mike and I used to shoot the heck out of each other on DK paintball mode, made for some good mother/son quality time bwahahahahaha.......

mmm The original Red faction was pretty awesome, blast through walls etc. if you cant be stuffed looking for the key card also had some cool vehicles and weapons... Plus loved planting a bomb on the enemy and watch them running towards their friends and then detonating... loads of fun. I also like the Halo series.. so I guess I don't have a favorite, just favorites.. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

[color=\"green\"]ah yes, the old Goldeneye game... hehe, i used to love that game, and when i was right into it, it was really hard... maybe thats cause i was like 10 *shrugs* played it recently, and with my extra fps practice, was dead easy lol.

Lets see.. The best FPS ever.. hmm. Its hard to put my finger on, but I have a few contenders.

1. Wolfenstein 3D

An oldie but a goodie. Classic, ahead of it's time, and brillant. What more can I say?

2. Doom

Okay it didn't have the best graphics ever but back in the day it was the stuff. It might of single handedly make the FPS popular. Without it where do you think FPS's would be today? Possibly nowhere.

3. Golden Eye 007

I loved this game to no end. Hats off to Rare for this one. It will always be a personal favorite of mine for many years to come. One of the great piller stones of FPS's.

4. Halo/Halo 2

This can be considered the pinnacle of current FPS's. Never before have the graphics been so rich and viberent. Lets hope the future is even better.

As the org poster had said golden eye for the 64 was one of the best it got me into FPS but i moved away from console gaming and went to the PC and to be honest notthing will beat a PC for FPS gaming my favorite series was the MEDAL OF HONOR and CALL OF DUTY something about the WWII themes

well you cant be sure what the best fps now......they keep coming out with some badass new shooters.....but some sold school games are da shizzle to the rizzle xD
