Touch Screen, Could That Be the Revolution's Secret?

[font="Arial"]The Revolution is still a box shrouded in mystery and wrapped in an enigma, and thus the rumor mill simply can't help but speculate endlessly about it. As of late, one of the rumors is that of a touch screen on the already amazing 'Magic Wand' styled controller. However, I believe this isn't cost effective and thus not within Nintendo's strategy of keeping prices low. Personally (NB. this is based on nothing at all, except my superb intellect), I believe that there will be some sort of DS connectivity for some games to make use of the touch screen where necessary. I believe this would work a lot better than the GBA-GC connectivity debacle (no cords, yay!), and would truly be a synergy in revolutionary ways to play games.

Anyways, my soapbox aside, here is the quote that started up the rumor:

[color="#FF0000"]Man, I can't tell you hold old the rumor for a "touch screen controller" is, that is actually one of the oldest rumors and I dunno which is wors,e it taking so long to get here or the fact it even was bothered to be put up. People even made concept controllers, such as one that looked like a Wavebird (Wireless Gamecube controller) that was ntohing but a control stick, the A button and a touch sensative area. This is seriously nothing but a romor as far as a touch screen like thing goes. As for the DS Revolution connectivity, I'm pretty sure that has been confirmed because the revolution will be using wi-fi as well.[/color]

First of all, it upsets me, not because it's a reason to hate Nintendo, but it's an incredibly STUPID reason to hate any company. Now, why do I say it's a stupid reason? Well I dunno about you, but I enjoy coming home, all happy and excited about having a new video game system, and wondering to myself, "OMG, I wonder what this will be able to do. I can't wait to find out everything this is capable of." I don't like being told every single detail possible about a new system. I like to figure things out on my own every once in a while. Let me put it in a video game sense. Would you like it if there was a video game that told you the location of each and every single secret, power-up, item, ect. and didn't let you find ANYTHING out on your own? If ya ask me, its kind of.. I dunno... makes the game... boring? And in a way, if they did that with their systems, to me, the system would seem... I dunno... boring?[/color]

Dude...lighten up. Give people their own opinions for once about nintendo. You constantly rant at people who say they don't like Nintendo. By the way, I said it was ONE of the reasons I hate nintendo, I have many others. I also never said I didn't like their Products.....I said I didn't like NINTENDO, not their products they give to the public. Mmkay? I hat eto rant all the time, but I just get bad vibes from being here and I can name various reasons for it and most of them have nothing to do with Nintendo. But getting back on topic. I know yous aid one of the reasons, and I'm curious as to hear your other "reasons". I don't know why, I jsut am interested in hearing why people hate someone/something (Wow, this sounds familier. Note: So that you people understand why i said this, I just said this exact same thing at an MSN group). Now, I REALLY need you help on this one Dren cause you TOTALLY lost me... but how the heck can you hate a company but not ahte their products? I mean seriously, I'm having trouble comprehending this. If you hate a company, then why buy their products? If you like the products, then how can you hate the company that makes the products? Maybe it's jsut me, but I seriously can't figure this out, and if you say customer support, then it's on!

Side Topic: This reminds me of a T-shirt I saw once that said "I respect your oppinions, I'm just saying they're wrong"[/color]

You say you hat ethem for not giving out inoformation about some of their systems, let me point some things out to you. 1st. They've put out a LOT of information about most of their systems (Note: Gamecube and Revolution are really the only ones I stayed untop of as far launch info is concerned, OMFG!). 2nd, the reason they don't give out all their information is because of... get ready... you'll never guess it... OPPONENT COMPANIES! OMFG.... AGAIN! For example, take the PS3 RUMOR I hear going around. The PS3 may be able to download PS1 and PS2 content from the internet. OMFG! Sounds like a obvious rip-off of another system coming out on the market! Where do you think they got that idea, if it's true? Hmmm... I wonder. Also, As I have said in another area here. I dunno about you, but I don't like being told EVERY SINGLE DETAIL about a new system! I do like to open the box, and discover new things![/color]
