Artificial Scan Lines!

Post by Paradox »

I know, you are thinking "Wow, this guy's whack, again, thinking he is good enough to be teaching US!!" well, I ALSO don't care.

You see, I invented this because I got depressed when I found out that my Photoshop Elements 2.0 is too primitive and it doesn't have scan lines.... <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... #>/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

Well, I, Paradox, have found out a solution that could help you guys too!

1. Open up a 4x4 document

2. Select this color.... #75806F

3. Now make a vertical line coming down from the upper-right hand corner to the lower-left hand corner

4. Click on EDIT>DEFINE PATTERN and call it whatever you want, I called it "Scanner Lines"

5. YOU WIN!!

I feel happy... <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Artificial Scan Lines!

uhm hey guys, I'm new...

uhm btw, I'm tryin to do this tutorial...

but I'm a bit confused with the 'vertical line from the upper right-hand to the lower-left corner' u mean diagonal line?!

and, which tool to use to make the line?! the pen-tool?!

and what do I do after I DEFINE the PATTERN?!

btw, I only made one line from the top right to the bottom left...

sorry it's a bit unclear

I\'m sorry I can\'t be of much help, existence; I have Elements 4.0, and no longer have earlier versions installed. I can\'t check to see how different the options/controls are.

But to answer part of your question, pencil tool, one vertical line, save the pattern. When the pattern is repeated it will appear like scanlines.
