Networked Drives...
I have a small home network set up, 2 computers and a laptop, i have an external drive for the laptop but i am going to hook it to one of the desktops so i dont have to fight with the damn cables and etc on the laptop. The only thing is i dont want my brother and sister to have access to drive... is there a way i can share the drive with the laptop only and not the other desktop?

Set up a domain, domain controller, add your brother's and sister's users to a certain group, set perms on the group for no access to the folder. Create your own user, set perms on that for full access.

I've heard something along the lines of the first one but as for the second one, I have no clue.
Setting up a domain is a very complicated way of simply blocking access to a file or a folder, but a very effective one. To set up a domain you'll need either Windows 2000 or Windows NT (I think) or Windows 2003. It's a shame you can't do it with XP.
May I suggest a rather blasphemic way, and read the *gasp* Windows Manual on file sharing.
