CrystalTV Tuner

Post by Alexander »

for anyone who is interested in what this is, ive developed a system alike to Macromedias own streaming server software which allows the streaming of flash files as TV Shows in the form of a playlist however it doesnt end there, this program not only plays it in the format of a TV show (by having a now playing list, a TV guide showing the schedule) and a teletext style program which owners of a channel can add a mini website about the channel and its content. the program itself can run just like a TV tuner, on startup it scans for avaliable channnels (which we can setup), and on download you just click a channel to start watching.

the program can run in various modes such as full screen, widescreen, custom ratio screen and others.

this means that people can create in effect their own internet TV stations using macromedia flash as the sourcebase, which takes the idea macromedia had for their streaming server to a whole new level.

now why this for killanet? well basically my idea is once we are started up we could convert tutorials etc into flash files so it would give a visible step by step guide (rather then just text based) to doing things, we could broadcast news, features, tutorials, etc all from flash files (Which are pretty easy to produce) and people could watch them as and when they want, it gives us a media platform we can work with in streaming video broadcasts and all it costs is bandwidth, lol

i said i would include the source code for all who are interested in how it works etc so they can see how i made it and its all ready that we could release it and broadcast stuff for users of the network literally immediatly.

im definatly going to work on a second version as ive had some very cool ideas for how it could take itself to the next level and make it even better.

so anyway, its something else we have to work with, we can now stream video / audio broadcasts through flash quickly and easily all through our own little media network type program. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
