Unfortunately for you, the only way I can add another port to listen on is to shut down the servers, then restart them... I won't be able to do this until it's time to upgrade (probably a week away).

Brock... I suggest trying the MSChat interface (the non-java). It connects on a seperate port from the java.
In other words, unless one of the forum staff who have access to the chat skin decides to change the java chat themselves, the ports won't be adjusted anytime soon.
Besides, you're supposed to be learning at school, not chatting. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

If you're allowed to do what you want, why don't you install mIRC on one of the computers and connect on a different port?

I can't use ActiveX from school, and Java won't connect to anything with IE... Also, I can't install FireFox because I can't run .zip or .exes <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... #>/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

y'all need to do schoolwork! <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... igwink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />
trying to get into chat from college is pretty much impossible..
downloading -anything- except images is blocked and triggers the records, java is totally disabled, so is activeX...
running custom .exe's is possible, but if they try to open connections they're blocked at the firewall and recorded..
anything that gets recorded results in a disciplinary unless users can prove it was accidental <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />
so like, we're screwed! <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
