Tuesday morning on my way to work, i was in the far left lane, doing about 75/80 in a 65, keeping with traffic. The was a car that came from the far right lane all the way over, To keep from hitting that person infront of me i slammed on the brakes and my left wheel locked up. from there things are kind of a bit blurry. I know i do that from time to time, go from the right lane across a lane or two of traffic and then take off... well now i know how it feels. I consider my self damn lucky or something, other then some minor cuts and etc, minor body aches i am fine. And for the record i hate hospitals >.

damn!... to be honest it doesn\'t sound like the speeding that caused it, more like a combination of idiots who don\'t know how to drive properly & possibly/probably less than perfect brakes.
and I blame the lolcats for stealing your stuff!

Im the same way man, and id guess more then likely a lot of it had to do with the other people I know people out here drive stupider then... grr.. they like to drive on my side of the road and crap, it pisses me off a lot. and i dont know about you but sometimes i like to do triples or go race someone while im driving, im addicted to speed, and around here most of the roads are mountain roads. i mean hell, the same thing could have happened to you dude, if you DID do the speed limit, left 5 mins earlier, and that same group of traffic caught up to you and put you in the same place you were and well hopefully you see where im coming from. it may not have been your speeding as much as it was the idiots around you

Which lesson was learned?
1. Don't Drive Silly Little Cars

I forgot to comment on this.
If he wasn\'t speeding, than most likely he would have been able to stop the car before so that he wouldn\'t hit the other person.
Also, he probably wouldn\'t have slammed on the brakes full force. Which is something you shouldn\'t do anyway, because than your brakes lock up and the car relies on friction between your tyres and the road to slow you down, rather than your brakes. Unless you have abs, and even then I\'m not sure.
Speed was a factor. but at least he\'s learnt and was lucky enough to get out of it with minor injuries.

Just that better brakes, and said person not cutting Jer up in the first place would have more than likely helped.
