I personally hate having to download the google video player, and then the google video file itself. Why should we have to do this when there are already working solutions on our computers, like Winamp and to a lesser extent, Windows Media Player.

It grabs the AVI file for ANY google video and stops you from having to download the google video player, it's GVP files and also you don't have to be on the Internet to view the file once it's downloaded. Then you can share it with your friends because they will most likely already have compatible video players.

I find this pretty cool, but how did you do it?

Basically when you put in a URL it grabs the source code for the page, in which the AVI download link is buried. Then it grabs all the links beginning with a certain phrase (which I will not disclose), then it finds the 5th one of these and then outputs it in a "Download" format, like you were shown when you look at the page.

The entire script is only 24 lines long and two of those lines are so it fits into the design of FP.

The basic outline of the code is this:

Find what the user inputted.
Check to see if the page is relevant.
Grab the sourcecode.
Sort through all of the code and then stash into an array all the links beginning with "The Phrase"
Find the 5th One
Output it.
