I thought it would be interesting to share different superstitions and folklore that we know of or come across in our daily travels across the \'net.

Here\'s a couple to get us started:

Place a whole bayleaf in your cash register to bring new business

If you get unwanted guests in your home, turn the household broom so that the bristles point towards the ceiling; this will make the guests leave the house.

Planting two silver maple trees in front of a home ensures harmony for all who dwell there.

Moving into a new home during a Waning Moon ensures the time spent there will be peaceful.

Wearing red, black or purple to a job interview increases the chance of employment.

Never place a photo of a person or painting done by a person opposite the front door.

Seizing the last peice of cake/pizza or taking the last lolly, or anything similar should be avoided as it points to poverty.

Acorns with the cap still attached that have fallen off the tree without your help bring good fortune, you should try to always carry one with you in some way or another. [/b][/i][/color][/font]

Cure a toothache by spitting into a frog\'s mouth and ask it to carry the pain away. LOL ew no

Hang a dead snake on a fence belly-up for rain. Ok that is just gross

A sneezing cat is a sign of future wealth. *finds a cat & blows pepper at it*

There are two ways of stopping a run of bad luck if you walk under a ladder by accident. Cross your fingers and keep them crossed until you see a dog, or spit on your shoe and let it dry.

If you sew anything on Sunday; when you get to heaven you will have to pick the stitches out with your nose. LMFAO uhm yeah okay

If a black cat walks towards you, it brings good fortune, but if it walks away, it takes the good luck with it.
